Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 351.85m | 106s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

So the tallest building would be 272m at 88 storeys. No supertalls here (no surprise to me) but still a quite dense cluster of buildings.

Meh who cares about an arbitrary 28 meters. Agreed about the density though. Lets see more of the design!

Wasaaaaaaaayyyyyy too much density if you ask me. This should be a 4 tower site, not 6. As for the toronto star building, the office extension looks horrible without the concrete cross bands on the facade. I hope this thing dies, I'm fine with the height, but this is way too much density for this site.

Well, it's really a 7-tower plan with the inclusion of the Star building.

In regards to passing judgement on how the height extension looks on the Star, don't you think it's premature to declare an opinion based on a small gray-scale elevation?

I should say from what I could make out - the 272m doesn't include the roof feature on the taller tower

I think you could be on to something, 272/88 is 3.09 meters, very short considering it seems to have a considerable sized mech. Penthouse. The absolute minimum would be 252m at 2.95 meters a floor. As for the toronto star building, the new top of it is visible in the renders we have seen, so yes, I have seen it in more than just a blurry greyscale rendering.

Ok. Why?

Because they plan to fit 7 towers on a smaller than the block Scotiaplaza is on (6.4 acres vs 6.9), It is just insane. The towers are simply too close.. they should be going for more height with less towers if they really want to achieve this kind of density on this site.

Well, yes, I would prefer fewer but taller towers myself. But the towers are not really all that close to each other, look at the site plan image posted above. With the exception of the TorStar building and the one directly north of it, they are all well separated from each other.

this site is definitely larger than the block scotia plaza is on...

Much larger, at least three times the area. Seven towers here would not be a problem.
