2014 when this project got approved, I thinks...

...12 years later, it feels like all the wait and speculation was well worth it, IMO.

Looking back at the earlier concepts in the project file is wild, 12 years later. They look like something designed in LA, for a big LA block on a wide arterial. The building we got instead is going to be beautiful, and fit into the dense Toronto streetscape much more elegantly

^...to think a city in the throws of embracing grey spandrelicious on every new tower would build something where the materials to achieve this alone would likely cost entire budget of NASA. Glad they toned this down in the end to far more realistic expectations without sacrificing quality here.

Why does this thread not specify that this is phase 1 with a height of 266m and 73 stories? Or did I miss something?

^For whatever reasons they decided to post the two phases together as one project....defaulting it to the highest tower. I speculate that is because how the developers planned this together as opposed to piecemeal like was done with Lakeside Pinnacle for example. Ultimately, this to the discretion of the editors...and what makes sense to them. Though you have been around here long enough that you should least be getting this by now... >.<
