This is a question about the Niagara Artists Centre but don’t want to create a thread. So there is the centre in a converted storefront but what is the building beside it? And is the church connected to this as a theatre? Thanks!

As one of the Niagara residents, unfortunately I don't have much info.
If you go back in time on Google Streetview the weird renovated building offered rooms for rent to Brock university students.

Edit: it looks like it was a 2-2.5 storey building and now appears to have 4 floors? It's God awful ugly 😆

I don't know what connection it has to the church or Niagara Artists Centre.

I wish there was a born and raised St. Catharines forumer that could give you more details.

pre Covid 2019 downtown St. Catharines was really looking on the up and up!
Even if this tower doesn't win any design awards lol it brings necessary density to the urban heart of Niagara Region.

And I haven't had Beechwood Doughnuts in a while! (yes that's how it is spelled). Good to know you can support YWCA just by getting some cinnamon ones!
I hope the 2 or 3 other towers that were in various stages of planning come to fruition. Downtown St. Catharines needs the injection of more residents to the core.
