President Donald Trump's United States of America

I'm hoping this gives EU a good kick in the butt to finally start taking their security into their own hands.

When you have countries like Hungary and Slovakia and even Austria actively blocking EU security policy, that's not possible. The EU is irredeemable on this front. European security will simply have to work around a coalition of the willing mindset. They'll need to develop something to replace NATO that specifically excludes the Russian moles in Europe.

By the way, this isn't a recent phenomenon. There's a reason that we share less with NATO than we do with Five Eyes and specific bilats to countries like Germany, France, Netherlands, etc. My entire career, we've been skeptical of certain countries.

Good for them to put this bill on the floor. Let the American people see who is voting for them. Gives the EU a nice ban list too.

I am honestly surprised that stricter visa requirements have not been placed on all americans globally.

The mad king offers an update on the Minnesota situation he created...

You know those people didn't really exist to the extent you claim until ICE showed up, Trump...

Will be interesting to see what happens in Minnesota in the midterms. Minnesota has 4 Republicans and 4 Democrats in the House.
Seems they are mainly behaving like this in blue areas (cities). They still are trying to remove aliens in red areas but they are not making such a brutal display of it. The strategy is to intentionally rile up blue areas in the hopes of creating division and shoring up support for republicans in red areas. I'm not sure that will work, but I see a disheartening number of people who are completely unconcerned with ICE killing citizens and engaging in victim blaming.

This will have a significant impact again on Minnesota considering there's a large population of them there

Trump ends temporary protected status for Somalis living in U.S.

There are 2,471 Somalis nationals in United States under TPS

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is ending temporary protected status for thousands of Somalis in the United States, press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on X on Tuesday, requiring them to leave by March 17.

"Somali migrants with TPS will be required to leave the country by March 17," Leavitt wrote on X, quoting a Fox News article that first broke the story.

The move follows a series of negative comments in recent months by Trump about Somalis in the U.S. — including U.S. citizens of Somali origin. He has particularly singled out Somalis living in Minnesota.

On Tuesday, Fox News reported that the scheme would end for Somalis countrywide.

In response to an email from Reuters, the Department of Homeland Security sent a statement from its chief, Kristi Noem.

"Country conditions in Somalia have improved to the point that it no longer meets the law’s requirement for Temporary Protected Status," she said.

There are 2,471 Somalis nationals in the United States under TPS, with another 1,383 with pending TPS applications, Fox News reported, citing U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services sources. According to the non-partisan Congressional Research Service, 2025 data showed 705 Somali-born individuals nationwide have TPS status.

I don't normally agree with Trump but I do think that the only way to solve some of the issues in the middle east is to topple the Iranian Regime by force.

The Ayatollahs will not leave voluntarily and they take human rights as a suggestion. They also have a hand in some of the other issues across that part of the world. It won't be perfect but knocking them down a peg will send a message to other such regimes globally.

At this point, if the US doesn't intervene, the blood bath from the regime if they get the upper hand would be horrific. This might be the one good thing that Trump does as POTUS.

There are many good reasons to want to see Ayatollahs gone.
But any intervention depends on having good options to get it done. Iran is not Venezuela. I don't think such a quick and easy option is on the table.
And I sincerely wish Iran does not turn into Syria 2.0 for years to come.
