...I guess it's hard to keep up with a project that has several billion different phases that's being constructed all at once. >.<

Maybe it’s because highlighting that area would draw attention to the work that appears to have been done in front of the Science Centre. I doubt that’s something they’re eager to spotlight, given whatever ends up happening with the property.

I still maintain a possible reason the OSC was closed is because they needed the access roads and parking lots for OL construction. Do I have proof? No. Are the roads and lots being so used? 100%

Would be a way less politically controversial reason to close it. If that was the objective, it was certainly quite a roundabout path to get there.
 
Is this new? It wasn't included in the media pack released to the reporters today.

Thinking out loud about the future of the Science Centre building: I wonder how the Université de l'Ontario français (UOF) is performing at its Queens Quay East campus. Could the Science Centre potentially become its future home? There might even be an opportunity to pair it with Collège Boréal — though that seems less likely given the college’s new Distillery District location has only just opened.
