I spy new'ish supplies... storm drain stuff to go along with even more pipe materials and it looks like they might be getting ready to open up large parts of Small Street?

They’ve been digging in spots on both north and south sides of QQ for a few days now.
This area has become a traffic nightmare - between the lane restrictions on Parliament for The Goode / No 31, Merchants’ Wharf for repaving, these lane restrictions and the bus lanes, it’s the city being the city again with one arm not knowing what the other is doing.

It's funny, between when you posted this, on November 12th, until this morning, there was clearly even more work done there. Maybe they missed something?

Taken this morning.
Looks like prep work is happening on the phase 2(?) section - dock wall remediation to allow for the promenade to continue on the eastern side of the Parliament Slip.

Is Quayside gonna dredge up rumored plans to get a new pedestrian path from Longboat and under the railway? Did I hallucinate that?

The long term plan, which I suspect will never be funded, is to bring a path of some kind south of the berm in line with Trinity Street.

So when do we think this one will get started? I know the design has been dumbed down somewhat, but I think this project will go a long way to extending the City east along the waterfront and will have a big impact on the skyline from the Harbour and Islands.

Passed city site plan and rezoning recently. My guess is demo of the Porsche dealership will begin shortly after the new location on Cherry opens (Summer 2026?) with shoring and excavation before the end of 2026.

Totally missed this yesterday. It is really a terrible stretch to drive let alone walk - I see people parking on the north side for the Distillery Winter Market and almost getting hit either walking east on the north side or crossing where there are blind spots daily. Hope they’re done soon….
