A lot of people get off at Duplex, but generally to catch an eastbound bus at the stop on Duplex northbound, or to walk to their final destination on Eglinton, Yonge or Duplex.

I can't say that I've seen many people get off at Duplex and then walk to the station.

PS - on the bright side - if as reported they have been having trouble getting the signalling system to manage close headways, the bunch may be quite deliberate and a sign of the problem being fixed

It’s only worth it if you’re transferring from bus to bus like 32 to 34/54.

A piece of advice: only use Los Angeles as an example if you're showcasing what NOT to do. Or most US cities for that matter.
