As the earlier incident occurred during the unscored phase of testing, the timeline for RSD did not ‘restart’ to day 1 but rather resumed as unscored testing once the trains were on the line again,” a spokesperson told Global News.

“Should an issue occur during the scored phase, we would restart the specific week of scored testing but would not need to re-do the unscored portion.” The agency would not tell Global News how many days were left, but said the light rail route had now entered the scored testing phase.

Edit: I was being sarcastic here. I know the 2025 dreams are probbaly dead. Metrolinx needs to be transparent about delays like the rem in montreal and the o train in ottawa have been recently. It serves no one other than the ford to pretend that everything is alright.

Considering that finch west finished RSD a while ago and still hasn’t opened I’m guessing no

Are they just lying straight to the reporter's face? How can they even be in the scored phase when they can't even get enough trains on the line? That's a fail and back to day 1?

Don't tell me they are doing portions of day 1 on different days like Afternoon period on Thursday and Evening period on Friday. I call BS if this is what they are doing.

I highly doubt the line will open this year. There is simply not enough time to prep the schedule within this year after the RSD finishes.
 
I am surprised to hear that RSD is supposedly in the scored testing phase. To have things align with what smallspy/Dan has been saying, it's possible this is how the situation has played out:
  • Oct 7: RSD begins in the unscored phase
  • Oct 16: Collision, pause in the unscored phase
  • Oct 25: Unscored phase resumes
  • Oct 26 - ?: Unscored phase ends; scored phase begins, but hasn't progressed due to the signal system issues
I do notice GlobalNews chose to write "...light rail route had now entered the scored testing phase", so completely plausible that we really are in the scored phase, just with 0 progress made in the phase so far

Or another possibility is that Smallspy's source is wrong and RSD is still proceeding in the scored phase......

I'm not trying to point fingers but Smallspy's insights haven't always been right, like how he said RSD would begin imminently over a weekend in August

I have all the respect in the world for the guy and I think he provides great insights, but this is how I'm squaring what I see in the news to what he said.

Sorry to be pedantic, but, you're saying someone's information sources may be unreliable because that person made a prediction that didn't come true?

It does seem to have stolen the unwanted crown from the Otrain.

It's beginning to feel like this and Line 6 are never going to open. I mean I know they will open, but this is nuts
