This says nothing of future phases after opening of this project. Double tracking is happening (will be very slow & at the very least all the protections are in place), this station has been designed with a single track for a few years now, this is nothing new.

Don’t be dramatic! We’ve known this for a while about Caledonia GO. Look at the Barrie corridor, double tracking work has made it to Caledonia GO with grading complete.

The full electrification of Lakeshore West to East from Burlington to Oshawa through Union is scheduled to be done by 2038, which is more like 2040 in non-Metrolinx time. I wouldn't hold my breath for Barrie double tracking. A GO station takes 3-5 years to complete. That means Metrolinx is expecting double tracking to not be completed until at least 2030. Considering GO Expansion got descoped, and Barrie moved to Phase 2, there might not be double tracking in Caledonia for another 10-15 years.

Metrolinx says the Bowie Avenue pedestrian tunnel is now scheduled for installation on the weekend from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1.

Look at these design for the station, it doesn't look complicated it's just a platform, a canopy and a 1 storey elevator. this shouldn't take more than a year to build right???
