Moss Park / Queen & Sherbourne

Dominion bar is being replaced by Los Gyros at Queen East and Sumach. Not sure how long this business has been there but an indication of where this area is headed. Finally Poulette Street is the name of the laneway just west of Parliament and has had houses fronting on to it for a while. The addition of the building at Parliament should spur more development.

Not sure if anyone knows anything about this, but Moss Park Apartment is one of the renewal projects with the ERA and Tower Renewal Partnership.

Here is the link - https://www.eraarch.ca/projects/moss-park-revitalization/

When I think of Moss Park, I actually think of the actual Moss Park, and this particular apartment complex. I think some part of this history should be part of the future for this area when it is inevitably gentrified.

The ERA document says they made proposal ("A three-tiered renewal program organized around a foundational community engagement programme was proposed. ") It does not say that it was accepted. Is anything actually scheduled?

That’s what I hope to find out lol. There are so little resources online…

A power outage due to someone's oops at an "active construction site" in the Moss Park area yesterday is ongoing this morning. Something was severed underground.

Building generators have been droning along all night. The Ivory, Axiom, the Brad Lamb building on Ontario, and it looks like Home on Parliament are all still dark. Kind of Moss Park, kind of SLM.

From last night:

I would have to guess the active construction site is the towers on Ontario Street between Richmond and Queen, ROQ City.
The only other one I can think of is they are demolishing the small office building on the west side of Berkeley Street just north of Adelaide.

Hmm. I'd forgotten about that (new) site and immediately figured it was somehow related to one of the Ontario Line sites. You might be on to something!
