There was a "Notice of Public Meeting: Request to Amend the Official Plan and Zoning By-law" for Phase 2 posted in The Star yesterday.

"The application proposes... an increase in residential gross-floor area and a reduction in non-residential gross floor area within... the proposed 84-storey mixed-use building at 274 and 276 King St. W."

October 22nd, 10 a.m. at City Hall.

Not too exciting, but a step forward for the Forma supertall.

Basically just to cram more people in

Apologies for not reading through back posts, but any word or rumours on the second tower?
Sales have not yet started for the west tower, but they recently submitted an application to change the commercial space on the lower floors to residential.

Here are a few photos I took of the east tower under construction this morning:

A Decision Report - Approval Recommended will allow residential uses in levels 2-10 of the west building of Forma (not yet under construction).

Space for the Royal Alex (office uses) and OCAD remain across the two buildings, but other office use may be trimmed or eliminated.

No change to building envelopes.

Statistical Summary of changes:

Net new: 234 residential units, minus 116 parking spots

The change also nets the City an extra $250,000 for streetscape improvements in the area.

@Paclo

1,400 units in one tower - that's going to be a beast, and the second largest single-tower unit count in the City.

Comparatively Concord Canada House has just under 1,400 units in two towers and a 10 storey podium.. Time and Space has just under 1,600 units in 4 towers and an immense amount of podium, Aura has just under 1,000 units, Pinnacle One Yonge just over 1,000 units, etc.

Looking at it, Concord Sky just beats this one out with 1,407 units in one tower vs. 1,404 here.
