This is just east of Vic Park south of Danforth, so that's the Lakeshore corridor pictured.

The storage building shown above, next to Victoria Park Avenue is now under construction with steel framing rising.

Didn't get a chance to grab a pic.

@JamesKoole ... while I agree on the undesirability of the land use here.........

I do feel the need to point out that the growing market for these is less a function of people with too much stuff....... and more a function of units that are way too small.

When you build 400ft2 units...........even 500ft2 units that have no place to eat other than your couch, and next to no cupboard space, and too little room to store out-of-season clothes, let alone holiday decorations or heirlooms ...

You get a demand for offsite storage. This shouldn't be allowed, but neither should units less than 750ft2.

People deserve a home to live in..that contains a large closet.

They should not have to live in a closet.

@Northern Light

I lived in multiple apartment with small unit spaces and big home in my life...

Self storage have shown us that vast majority of North American love to buy crap they don't need and useless stuff that they think are "treasure" but in reality are just "junk or worthless crap with no inherent value"

I have neighbours and friend who essentially run out of storage space in their cluttered home & no room in their garage to park their car due to the sheer amount of "useless stuff" in there.

Self storage will always be a demand when people start to realize to always declutter or donate/sell stuff they don't need.

Yes, I agree it is an eye sore but the North American ethos is always to buy buy buy!

But i digress!
