Why?I would have thought that they'd add more height to the crane then they did
The floor they need to brace the crane to may not be ready or there yet. However, they likely still needed to raise the said crane a bit to give it the height that needed to still do its job effectively...or something like that. And that's what you're probably seeing here.Just more used to cranes having more of an overwatch height where as here the cab almost looks level with the current floor
I took these two days ago. The Davenport Curve is a great little area to see this, and 11 Yorkville go up from. The last picture is from Rosedale station.

We must get to a place where we value people (and our quality of life) over cars.
A sidewalk made of concrete
Wrong.
Cars = Quality of Life
Don't like? Move to a country without roads and ride a donkey.
I'll take civilization.
I reckon he might prefer a grass sidewalk.As opposed to....?
The problem is North America is now so far behind compared to Europe and Asia. When it comes to the public transit realm that it has become a generational mindset, it is no longer a case of building the infrastructure. It is convincing people that the infrastructure is worth building. Just look at the conversations surrounding high-speed rail or even just transit in general. I live in a town that used to have rail for bringing in goods. Those tracks have now been torn up. Everything is brought in by truck. The thinking needs to change but I don't see it happening anytime soonConsider visiting anywhere that isn't in North America.
