If only they'd gone with a warmer brick there… Something like what was used on Daniels' Paintbox in Regent Park, which is a red-purplish-charcoal melange of iron spot bricks really would have made that terrace feel more inviting.

Yes, I've seen the plans. They also say construction was to start Q2 2020... Delayed as mentioned.
This motion coming to the FARM Committee this week:

ON MOTION duly made, seconded, and carried, be it RESOLVED that the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee recommends that the Board of Directors approves the capital investment expenditure of $23.75M to complete the East Bayfront In-Water Pipes and Boardwalk and authorizes Management to finalize and award the Stipulated Sum tender for the construction of the East Bayfront In-Water Pipes.

Unfortunately, the motion is to approve phase 1 of the project which only includes the in water pipe. The boardwalk will be part of a future phase 2, which doesn't have funding.

Noticed in the retail leasing document for Bayside that the large retail space designed for a grocery store in this building is listed as "Unavailable". Wonder if they've leased it out to a grocer, presumably with the lease commencing once there's more density in the area?

The leasing brochure also lists "Gong Cha Canada" (a bubble tea place) as a tenant in Bayside, though there's no indication as to what unit they've taken (presumably one of the smaller ones in Aqualina).

I wonder if that brochure is a bit dated? Maybe it hasn't been updated since Organic Garage pulled out?

Looks like there is movement on the retail here. Walked by recently and Gong Cha Canada has indeed moved into one of the retail units (under construction still), and the leasing brochure now lists the large retail unit under Aquavista as "Under Negotiation" (whereas it simply said "Unavailable" before).

Grocery store is correct. Found this while checking if there was an update on the Canary District location:

Um… how does that effect the one that’s supposed to go into Canary?

It doesn't.

The Canary one is their typical size and will serve a very local market, this one is their first large-format store.

Speaking of the above....

Retail-Insider has a story out on Marche Leo's expansion plans.

It includes one interior render of the store to go here:

The entire story can be found here :

The assertion is that this store will be 40,000ft2.....

The original supermarket space was ~40% smaller than that...... hmmmm
