The website you are looking for can be found here: https://www.markham.ca/wps/portal/home/business/building-permits/eplan/public-search-and-sign-on

Advanced warning, it's terrible. Badly organized, difficult to use. Not nearly as pleasant as the City of Toronto site.

Putting their ridiculous preamble aside...the name alone reminds me of something akin to a workers' paradise. I am pretty sure that's not who their target audience is.

It is absolutely horrific to use indeed. Although, the way I am able to find these applications/resources is by checking the council and committee meeting documents when they are released. You can then go on the html versions of these meetings and from there you can click on the hyperlinks that you can either go to the application document or any supporting details (Site plans, land uses, and sometimes architectural plans). Still absolutely awful and lacks much information that should be available to the public and it's next to impossible to find old applications; but you take what you can get. You can use the search bar to find commitee meetings that mention material for example this application, but good luck finding any more information that is not already available in this thread. https://www.markham.ca/wps/portal/h...mittee-meetings/03-council-committee-meetings

This link is also handy to know what it even is that you are looking for: https://www.markham.ca/wps/portal/h.../current-apps-agendas/08-current-apps-agendas

Agreed though. I vote Markham as having the worst devapp portal in the GTHA.

Hideous towers and appalling parking standards. Markham truly does love pulling up the rear in the world of GTA planning...I don't know why anyone would buy anything but low rise land there.

I mean that's York Region in general outside of VMC, which by some miracle seems to be bucking the wider trend of the region.

York Region, despite being the second largest and honestly probably increasingly the densest of the four large 905 regions, consistently has the worst transit service and the lowest transit modal shares. It's no surprise this has nearly a 1:1 parking ratio despite being on a BRT line right beside a future RER station with what will effectively be subway-level frequencies..
