One small correction. "ARE too late" .
You can plant trees at any time of year. However, the risk of transplant shock killing the tree is substantially higher when in a non-dormant state.
Basically post-leaf out, prior to colour-change/leaf fall.
Further, any nut-bearing species don't do as well w/fall transplants (think Oak); (neither do Conifers, but the City rarely plants those on/near streets.
At this point they will either non bother to plant till fall; or they will plant and rely on the standard 2-year warranty for new trees they build into most contracts; though only periodically enforce.

Is there some sort of problem getting concrete for sidewalks down there or do they have other plans and the product hasn't arrived yet?

Meanwhile, west of York Street, a new sidewalk was completed on the south side of Harbour Street from Simcoe Street most, but not quite as far as York Street. It;s not apparent to me that they will eventually plant trees west of York Street.

Seems like such a wide sidewalk for a stretch of Harbour without any street facing retail or restaurants - even with the bike lane considered. Still, I much prefer it over an extra lane of traffic!

It's to be a bi-directional bike lane, right? They need to be wider than uni-directional bike lanes, of course.

Would have been the perfect pick-up/drop-off area for ACC/Union/office tower traffic instead of having cars turn onto York or Bay, especially if they had stairs/escalators connecting the overhead bridge with ground level. This will be much more apparent once The Hub is completed.

For real. That beauty of a raised highway is moving again since the completion of the ramp so forget about public realm. The raised highway is on the public realm priority list. Look at it! It's a magnificent manifestation of progress and whatever.
They were doing all that night work and double shifts and whatnot to speed up the process with the ramp. Why can't they do that for the rest?
PS: I still offer my services to help demolish the thing. I will waive my customary 100-150$ hourly fee for this. It's a bargain.

From this picture, it's clear they expect this garage to be demolished. I wonder how long it'll take.

There always seem to be cars coming and going, esp. when there is something at Skydome or Convention Centre. No doubt it WILL go sooner or later (and the sooner the better) but it will probably be replaced (in part) by more paid parking.
