You guys have to remember there is one little problem with Ford's Sheppard/SRT/Bloor lunacy loop..........it would have to get funding from Ottawa. With all the Ottawa Infrastructure money flowing that wouldn't be a problem except the municipalities MUST contribute at least 20%. In other words it would require the OK from City Hall a nd Tory and Tory will demand full funding of the DRL for this huge loop to go forward.

That’s a ray of hope. But Tory is only one voice on a Council with an aggrieved, entitled, batshit suburban majority. So the City might actually support this insanity. The Feds would be hard pressed to refuse with two governments on board.

The Sheppard Subway issue might be the most contentious issue on Council. City Council did not support it back in 2011. It's unlikely that they'll support it in the next few years, when the makeup of Council will be a lot less favourable to the proposal, and given that the City has a lot more on it's plate (regarding infrastructure) than it did in 2011.

So two more for Q4 2019. Also, the Pape/Gerrard pairing was awarded at 8.5, while Queen/Osgoode is at 6.5m. The other two pairings are Carlaw(Queen)/Broadview and Sumach/Sherbourne at 5m each. Dunno why Pape/Gerrard would be that much more then Queen/Osgoode. That must be some smarttrack / go / subway interchange at Gerrard there planning.

I haven't gone over the documents, but I assume its because a rail connection between Line 2 and DRL needs to be designed at Pape. That's not necessary at Queen/Osgoode.

I was wondering if the name Weston-Queens -Don Mills will be the name of the Relief Subway when it is totally finished. Starting at Don Mills and ending at Pearson Airport .
