Restaurant Comings & Goings

If the new St. Hubert's management does away with unlimited coleslaw, we are gonna have problems. You hear that Quebec? Problems.
 
Give me Chalet Sauce, any day. Swiss Chalet okay!

I haven't been to a Swiss Chalet in years. (Finding a dead bee in my take-out salad probably didn't help.) St. Hubert may not be gourmet food but it is much better, and their restaurants are much more attractive.
 
Yeucccch, no. St-Hubert's sauce is too sweet. Ick.

Pangaea closed. This was the first place I ever ate alone (sat at the bar, had two apps. I was probably 22 or 23?).
 
Scoop and Bean has turned into El Pocho Antojitos Bar at Bathurst & Follis. Haven't been in yet, just noticed when I went to try to get a coffee.
 
I really really hope they bring it back to Toronto. I LOVE St. Hubert's.

They used to have a restaurant at Avenue Road and Lawrence, across from Pusateri. It had a very downmarket ambiance compared to the Québec restaurants.

One of the last stores to stick around in Ontario was on Queensway I think. Overall their chicken is consistently better than that of the Chalet - though the menu is less "innovative".
