Work continues on a number of new builds underway in Toronto's revitalizing Regent Park neighbourhood. The latest project to enter construction in the revitalization's third phase is Artworks Tower by The Daniels Corporation, a new market condominium development soon to rise on the northwest corner of Dundas and River Streets.

The site of the Quadrangle-designed condominium development—consisting of 11 and 33-storey towers rising from a shared podium—has been active since the end of 2018, when excavators arrived to begin site preparation work. By the start of 2019, drilling rigs were busy boring holes for the site's pile and lagging shoring system. The drilling work is now being followed by the start of excavation.

Crews are now digging to create space for the project's foundations and a three-level underground garage that will serve the site's residential and retail components with 355 parking spaces. Excavation is now furthest along at the north end of the site, where it is now several feet below grade.

The project's 33-storey tower will introduce 341 suites to the area in a range of one-to-three-bedroom layouts, of which only a handful remain available for sale. Another 110 suites will follow in an 11-storey boutique building to the west, which has yet to begin marketing.
