We at UrbanToronto work hard to get you the latest news and updates on the development and growth of Toronto and the GTHA, and we are pleased to announce that we have a new outlet for our readers to discover more about the growth of Vaughan. In our latest collaboration with the City of Vaughan, a new information portal has been created specially for the issues surrounding planning and development in Vaughan. City staff will join UrbanToronto's more than 27,000 active Forum users by posting information about relevant events, planning initiatives, development applications, and public meetings, letting Forum users learn and discuss the topics as they develop.

Of particular interest to our readers may be Vaughan's most recent post, with notice of a contest where the prize is to be one of the first to ride into Vaughan on a VIP preview subway train when the TYSSE opens. Make sure you get a look at that!

Vaughan's emerging downtown is beginning to experience significant growth, an important new piece of that is the Vaughan Centre PwC Tower/YMCA/Library, the ground breaking for which we covered recently. In the video below, you'll get a chance to meet many of the individuals involved in that building and in the wider scope of the whole of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre area, including a quick peek into the new subway station. Give it a watch!

There are sure to be new city initiatives, events, and reports that many of you will be interested in learning more about. Just as with any Forum discussion, to avoid missing updates you can subscribe to the thread of your interest.

The Vaughan portal is the latest in UrbanToronto's collaborations with the GTHA's municipalities, others being the Mississauga portal and the Toronto portal. This connects city staff and you, in a format that allows for discussions on topics directly from their respective municipality.

We are still working hard to bring you more Information Portals like this from around the GTHA so be sure to stay tuned!
