With construction winding down and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) now well under way, it won't be long before LJM DevelopmentsAppleby Gardens Condominiums is officially complete at the intersection of Corporate Drive and Appleby Line in Burlington. As part of the PDI process, future residents of the 7-storey, Icon Architects-designed condominium development are now getting their first taste of the building's 71 suites.Appleby Gardens' Corporate Drive frontage, image courtesy of LJM

We got our first glimpse at Appleby Gardens' units a few months ago, when we were given an exclusive tour of the under-construction mid-rise. At that time, the first PDIs were just starting, though most units remained in somewhat raw states. Catching up with the newly-completed units at Appleby Gardens in late November, two suites on the fifth floor of the building offer a fuller look at the finished spaces.

Below, a kitchen in the 974.7 ft² unit 503 highlights one of the finish packages on offer. While full-size stainless steel appliances are available throughout, a range of high-grade materials is available for kitchen countertops, including granite (seen below) and marble.

Meanwhile, main living areas offer generous floor-to-ceiling windows, filling the spaces with natural light while providing views of the surrounding neighbourhood. The view from the living room also shows unit 503's balcony, which is still awaiting the installation of its final exterior finishes along inner balcony walls.

Next door, unit 504 is a 932 ft², two-bedroom suite, featuring an inset east-facing balcony as well as a south-facing terrace.

The finishes in unit 504 differ slightly from its neighbour, with a warmer colour palette utilized in the flooring, kitchen counters/backsplashes, and bathroom tiling. A shot of the suite's kitchen, shown below, highlights the aesthetic, which matches the same granite countertop with wood-toned cabinetry.

Appleby Garden's 71 suites include lofts, penthouses, as well as one and two-bedroom units, and residents have begun to move into the building as of earlier this month.
