The Daniels Corporation's new community at Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West in Mississauga continues to grow. The first three towers at the Kirkor Architects-designed development are found on the southwest corner of Erin Mills and Eglinton (two show up in the back centre of the image below), but the next phases are going to be on the northeast corner, where the sales office for the first phases has long been located ("Here" in the image).
Daniels next phases—three new residential towers—are now working their way through Mississauga's planning approvals process.
Addressed at 2475 Eglinton Avenue West, the proposal aims to rezone the currently vacant site to allow the construction of three 25-storey apartment towers. With frontages facing both Eglinton and Erin Mills Parkway, the project would include 10,683 square metres of commercial space, as well as 951 residential units. It is currently not known whether the proposal seeks condominium or rental apartment tenure, or both. Of the three towers at the southwest corner, one is rental, the other two are condominiums.
Like the phases at the southwest corner, the new phases are being designed by Kirkor Architects. The three new towers would share common design elements with the initial phases, blending the standard rectilinear residential tower typology seen on the first two towers with the curving aesthetic of third phase 'Arc'. A new public plaza between Blocks 1 and 2 of the new phases should create an inviting pedestrian realm here.
