We have some big news!

UrbanToronto has launched a sister site at SkyriseCities.com. On SkyriseCities, you can connect to the world’s highrise development community.

Here at UrbanToronto, we’ve been building a community of city builders, urbanophiles and shutterbugs for 15 years. We’ve grown our urban Forum by adding a development dataBase and then a full news site that covers shovels in the ground across the GTA.

Along the way, discussion threads have crept in from around the world. We have seen construction updates from Hong Kong, we’ve gone on walking tours of Downtown Atlanta, and we’ve been closely following the planning and construction of Ottawa’s Confederation Line LRT. At SkyriseCities, we have created a community for these global discussions.

The taste for global stories isn’t just in our Forum. Here on UrbanToronto’s front page we’ve covered the Lanes of Melbourne, a drone tour of NYC’s Hearst Tower, and major changes to the global skyline. The world is rising, and we’ll be watching from SkyriseCities!

UrbanToronto will continue to bring you the local development news and insider insights you’ve come to expect. The Toronto forums will also be the first node in the global community that you’ll find on the SkyriseCities Forum. One Bloor East has been joined by One World Trade Center in our worldwide project Database. We’d love to see the pictures you took on your last trip to Vancouver, and now you can share them in the skyline thread on the Vancouver Forum or upload construction photos directly to the dataBase entry for Trump Tower.

We wouldn’t have this opportunity for UrbanToronto to look so far beyond the horizon if it weren’t for our amazing and engaged community. Your UrbanToronto Forum account will allow you to log in as a founding member of the new site, so we hope you’ll join us in welcoming the world at SkyriseCities.com.
