With just a few days remaining until the October 3rd Preview Opening for Hi-Rise Group and Spice Danforth Inc.'s Spice Urban Towns, we took the opportunity to preview the presentation centre for the new stacked townhouse development coming to Scarborough's Oakridge community.
The presentation centre is located at 3194 Danforth Ave., steps from Pharmacy Avenue, and just a few blocks west of the development site. Inside, prospective buyers are greeted by a scale model of one of the three-and-a-half storey Kohn Partnership Architects Inc.-designed buildings in the complex. This model, constructed earlier this year by Myles Burke Architectural Models, is unique for its inclusion of a cross-section that shows off the interior of the scale model's suites.
Units at Spice Urban Towns come in one and two-storey models, ranging in size between 749 and 1,012 square feet, with prices starting from the mid $300,000s.
For a more accurate representation of the fixtures and finishes being offered at Spice, the presentation centre offers vignettes of the kitchen and bathrooms that give an idea of what residents can expect from their living space.
Inspired by the Indian and Bangladeshi population found in the community surrounding the development site, unit models at Spice Urban Towns are named after various spices, like cardamom, while finish packages are named after types of tea.
