The increasing vibrancy of the street life on Toronto's Danforth Avenue has led to a number of redevelopment proposals along the eastern stretch of this street in recent years, with developers looking to capitalize on the area's multicultural appeal, walkability, and transit accessibility. Diam DevelopmentsOn the Danforth Condos is one of the many projects aiming to bring new homes for hundreds of new residents and new street-fronting retail.

Designed by architects Onespace Unlimited, the 10-storey development will rise at 2359 Danforth Avenue at Oak Park Avenue, between Main and Woodbine stations on the TTC's Bloor-Danforth Line 2. The mid-rise's north elevation will stand seven storeys on Danforth Avenue, with the upper three levels set back from the street, while stepped terraces on building's opposite elevation will transition it down to the established low-rise neighbourhood to the south.

Currently in its registration phase, On The Danforth is offering 135 condominium suites, with one, two, and three-bedroom models available, and prices starting in the mid-$200,000s.

Both suites and common interior spaces in the development are being appointed by EsQape Design, including a bright lobby space featuring accents of wood and stone, as well as tree-themed screens. The lobby space will also offer residents a lounge, fireplace, and a concierge desk.

To help show off the many neighbourhood amenities, landmarks, shopping, and dining offered along The Danforth, Diam is currently holding a photo contest on their Facebook page, asking participants to submit a photo of any person, place or thing on The Danforth, for the chance to win a $100 gift card from Relish Bar & Grill, Morgans on The Danforth Pub, or Embrujo Flamenco Tapas. Participants are also asked to like the On The Danforth Facebook page, where winners will be announced after August 31st.
