Toronto's Downtown rail corridor used to be the unofficial southern border of the city centre. Thanks to a continuing wave of development south of the tracks, the 'South Core' area, as it has come to be known, is now well integrated into the surrounding city via a series of below- and above-grade connections. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by ashtontekno, we can see the rail corridor dividing the South Core area's high-rises from the rest of the city skyline.
