Last week, we conducted our first poll for the Best Buildings of 2014, and the votes are now in for the Commercial category. Our readers voted overwhelmingly for the new Delta Hotel, which easily won with a whopping 50% of the vote. In second place, the Market Street Redevelopment landed 32% of the vote. You can check out the full results by visiting our Commercial Poll page.

Time to move on to the Institutional category, which features five candidates including the new Fort York Visitor Centre, the Aga Khan Museum and Ismaili Centre — which are presented separately, the Fort York Library, and Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. The poll for our Institutional category is now officially open, and will remain so until Friday morning at 9:30 AM.

Once polling for the Institutional category is complete on Friday morning, we will move on to our final two categories, Tower style developments and Avenues style developments.
