The Monarch Group is launching the second phase at their Lago on the Waterfront site in Etobicoke's Humber Bay Shores area. Riva del Lago is a 14-storey condominium which will rise across Marine Parade Drive from the extensive park and bicycle path system along this part of the Lake Ontario shoreline. Towering in behind it will be the skyscraping 49-storey first phase of Lago. Both buildings are designed by Graziani + Corazza Architects and will have a conjoined underground garage. Lago is under construction now, while the excavation of the Riva del Lago site is already under way at the same time.
The location of Riva gives purchasers great views across Humber Bay to the Toronto skyline, and puts them right on the Waterfront Trail, giving them a fast connection to a huge variety of recreational activities, both on land and on the water. While the parkland here goes for miles and miles and would sell the spot to outdoor enthusiasts on its own, the neighbourhood surrounding Riva is now growing into something worth crowing about.
Early residents at the first condos in the area, the pioneers essentially of this area that once featured only motels, had to drive to get to shops and restaurants. Now however, with thousands of residents in Humber Bay Shores moved in and many more still to come, the number of merchants has begun to climb quickly. As thousands more people move to this area to take advantage of the amazing views, they will find more and more places to pick up groceries, grab a bite, or get other errands taken care of, within walking distance. With each new building being completed, Humber Bay Shores is coming into its own.
Sales at the beautifully designed pavilion will open to the public very soon, so anyone interested in attending the launch event should register on Monarch's official site for Riva del Lago in the next few days to get an invite.
