UrbanToronto hit another milestone today (or kilometrestone? is that a thing?) when our 20,000th Twitter follower signed up. We're grateful for the confidence you put in us to make every one of those 144 carefully considered characters count for something in your life! Goodness knows the pace of change in this city does not seem to be letting up one iota, so we have a pretty constant stream of things to tell you about! Those tweets keep you informed of the latest we have to offer.

The tweets aren't just about the tweets themselves of course. They typically lead you somewhere else, like the UrbanToronto front page where the current development stories of the day are presented, to a new dataBase page with cool renderings, or into one of our Forum threads for a breaking-news post from one of our thousands of contributors, or the tweets bring you a photo from an event or a just plain beautiful spot somewhere in this great big good-and-bad, wonderful-and-maddening city!

While we love to let you in on what we are learning about lately, we are constantly surprised by all of the things you turn up too: you are an interesting bunch! With a readership that includes urban enthusiasts, architects, developers, real estate professionals, city planners, politicians, activists—you name it—from 10 year olds up to centenarians (okay, that's a guess, but we figure there have got to be some pretty cool centenarians out there!) our contributors post in the Forum, comment on news stories, like us on Facebook and Instagram, share photos on Flickr, and of course tweet and retweet(!)… we know we could do it without you.

So, thanks to all of you. Money can't buy real Twitter followers, so we'll keep trying to earn your loyalty!

We have a big Facebook number coming up too—there's a whole lotta like being sent our way right now—so we'll be back with more news for the number crunchers soon!
