Creating something from nothing has been the story of many of North America's megacities for generations and Toronto is no exception. For the last decade or so this has been especially true when, in some cases, we are constructing entire 21st century neighbourhoods from scratch. Today's photo of the day comes to us from UT member Jack Landau and was taken near the base of the CN Tower. It gives us an excellent panoramic view of the area south of Union Station, which is now commonly referred to as the Southcore. There are so many recently-completed, under-construction and proposed projects a couple of which we see rising in this image: Ice Condos and the three-tower complex of the Southcore Financial Centre and Delta Hotel.
