Captured by Forum member udo, this sharp picture shows the L Tower as it continues its skyward march. Developed by Cityzen, Fernbrook Homes and Castlepoint, L Tower is unique for the architectural pedigree behind its conception. Designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind in collaboration with Page + Steele, this is his second commission in the city and his first residential project outside of Asia. Set to rise 57 storeys and contain 600 units, this project joins a host of others drawn to the vibrancy of the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood including London on the Esplanade, The Berczy, Backstage on the Esplanade and Market Wharf. Also noteworthy is the form of the building. In a city accustomed to condos designed with an affinity for right angles, this building is decidedly more organic.
