With the sheer number of residential towers that have sprung up around the bottom of Bathurst and Spadina, it's often difficult to keep on top of their progress and development. Today's dataBase Project of the Day turns toward the gem of Cityplace, Parade.

Parade and Canoe Landing Park, by Concord Adex

Developed by Concord Adex, and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects, Parade is a four-tower development, consisting of two large horizontal podiums, above which four towers rise. The architects artfully connect the two tall towers with a striking two-storey glass bridge, containing both amenity space and residences.

Parade will act as the northern wall to Cityplace's eight-acre Canoe Landing Park. Designed by famed Canadian writer and artist Douglas Coupland, the park brings much needed multi-recreational space to the Cityplace development.

We've been getting some great new images posted on the project's Forum page showing the project as it's capping off, evidenced by the construction of what appears to be the mechanical roof.

The photo below shows the space that has been left open on the 27th and 28th floors for the bridge that will soon connect the towers.

We're looking forward to seeing how the bridge looks when it's put in place; keep an eye out on the project's Forum page here for new construction photos, and check out Parade's dataBase listing below for more information and related stories.
