Today's Photo Of The Day, taken by forum member androiduk, was chosen more for what it represents than artistic merit (though it is a mighty fine shot). What it represents is the rebirth of the east side of downtown Toronto, an area long known for housing projects, shelters, poverty and crime. Projects like the redevelopment of Regent Park are the starting to improve the area tremendously. And Pace Condos is set to do its own little part in the rebuilding process.

Here we see the site, located at the southwest corner of Dundas and Jarvis, fenced off and ready for some work to begin. Developed by Great Gulf Homes, Pace is set to rise 46 storeys over what is now a fairly sketchy corner. No renderings or architects announced yet but we'll update you once we get them. To register for the project click here. Tell them Urban Toronto says hi.
