1717 Avenue Road is the kind of building the City wants to see lining many of our avenues. With setbacks on both the arterial and neighbourhood sides, 1717's 6-storey height does not overwhelm its surroundings. At the same time, Tribute Communities and RioCan's new condominium raises residential density in accordance with the Province of Ontario's Places To Grow plan, while also renewing grade level retail infrastructure. Turner and Fleischer Architect's brick-and-precast-cornices design fits in with the jumble of traditional styles found amongst most houses on the neighbouring streets.
