The new The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto is closing in on completion. The final sections of cladding are being added to the Graywood/Cadillac Fairview developed building. The 53 storey hotel and condo was design by KPF in tandem with Page + Steele. In the meanwhile the Brookfield Properties owned First Canadian Place is shedding its original stone cladding for glass. The 72 storey office building was having problems with the stone cracking and falling off. Thirty-five years old and already in need for a face lift?
