The site, a patch of mud and temporary parking lot for construction vehicles for the last few years, is finally about to become again what it was before: Frank Stollery Parkette. While UrbanToronto has not yet been able to find out who is designing the makeover, apparently it will take only 6 to 8 weeks until the park is finished. It's the last piece of the puzzle for Shiu Pong's Lotus Condominiums, the building seen at the back of the photo: the park is a recipient of Section 37 funds, required by the City, of developers whenever new buildings are built. Section 37 funds are used to improve the public realm around new buildings, but are often spent a few blocks farther from the front door than in this case!
