A new thread in UrbanToronto's Projects and Construction subforum is dedicated to a property to the east of Liberty Village which is currently the subject of a rezoning application. UrbanToronto members Mike in TO and Solaris published details of the application for the site, a spot where the rezoning was refused not long ago.

Now it turns out that alternative energy pioneer Morgan Solar, a current lessee of industrial property on the site is concerned about having to move, and is mounting a campaign to save jobs on the site. Morgan Solar questions whether Toronto should be rezoning any active employment lands in the city to allow yet more land for condominiums.
