Forum member Casaguy recently moved into his new condo at, would you believe it, Casa Condos of all places. It has provided him a birds-eye view of a lot of new development in the Yonge and Bloor area. And it has provide us with some breath taking shots including today's photo essay.
Many of us ponder about how exactly do they take the crane down after a building has topped off. Well here are 20 photos that show how CrystalBlu's crane came down a few days back. Thanks to Casaguy for the photos and for being smart enough to buy this unit so many years ago. I bet you didn't think your purchase would make so many of us happy today. Top of CrystalBlu on the left with Uptown Condo still rising on the right.
Original crane for CrystalBlu is the larger white one. The smaller orange one was brought up to lower the white one down.
You couldn't pay me anything to do this.
And the dismantling of the white crane begins.
Uptown condo lends a hand in taking down the smaller crane. Quote of the day from forum member Hypnotoad: "This is the closest thing we'll ever see to two buildings making out."
