The two-storey Whitby Sports Complex will include an aquatics centre, gymnasiums, multi-use community space and outdoor sporting fields and a community plaza designed by Perkins&Will, MBTW Group and the New Line Skateparks for the Town of Whitby to the south of Highway 407, west of Baldwin Street South (Highway 12) and east of Ashburn Road in Whitby's Heber Down area.

The project is targeting LEED Gold and Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) Certifications. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2023.

New Whitby Sports Complex Design

The Town is working to construct a new Whitby Sports Complex to help meet both the immediate and future recreational needs of our growing community. The new complex will be located on the west side of Baldwin Street South, south of the intersection of Highway 407. The

The Whitby Sports Complex broke ground in September 2023. Current construction milestones underway:
