Toronto The Townes of Richview | 12.19m | ?s

The real "problem" with the name lies in the "Townes", not the "Richview". The E in Townes is completely unnecessary.

But then again, what do I know? I'm certainly not a real estate marketer..

They could've named this project "The Bushes of Richview" and it still would have sold well. In this market, developers can get away with nearly anything.

@CapitalSeven, Richview Sideroad was the previous name for this stretch of Eglinton Avenue, hence the essentially innocuous name of the development. Nearby are Richview Collegiate Institute, Richview Library, Richview Park…

I like the Richview part. It's unusual and as it has history to it, appropriate. But The Townes Of anything is gruesome.

I know there are many on UT that are enraged by the silly names the developments are often saddled with, but I think there are bigger things to worry about in the world than, as with this case, an olde timey e.

One year later, I love that landscaping!

Modern day example of misplaced and ill-advised "urban planning". While the townhouses look good, the location for this type development to take place on is absolutely horrid.
