Toronto The Eglinton | 111.86m | 33s | Menkes | Giannone Petricone

Me too, I went to school next door when I was in high school at Spectrum (odd school name, but good teachers). It's like part of the expected landscape has been taken away.

I went to elementary school right below Spectrum, as well as high school just up the street.

May the on-street retail of this new condo make a positive impact on Eglinton. :)

The Eglinton on the left with the former Union Carbide building on the right. That was a big loss.

What a shame... There are so many other strip malls, parking lots and crappy buildings that should be levelled for new construction other than buildings such as this, I just would like to see more preservation in regards to older buildings...

I went to high school at Northern just down the street. Once in a while I'd get lunch at the Quizno's that used to be in the building. The manager really hated high school kids in there, especially since everyone got gratuitous free re-fills from the soda machine, which sent him miles over the edge on pretty much a daily basis. The kids used to call him the "sub nazi." Anyway, I know this is all a huge tangent, but it's funny how those things come back to you once the physical place is gone... (the quizno's itself was not really missed though once it closed).

Wow! That's just crazy. The entire building gone. Just like that. Completely removable. I'm surprised to see it had no basement. Or not big trenches for pipes or parking. Just a big dirt patch. I too used to go to the Quiznos there on a pretty frequent basis when I live up on Keewatin.

Excavation now quite apparent
