Toronto STACK Infrastructure Data Centre | 25.01m | 2s | First Gulf | WZMH

Description added:

So, the Site Plan Approval application has been received on April 26, 2022.

Very Interesting.

On May 10, 2021, Post # 10 above, referred to a release by First Gulf which in the first paragraph said:

STACK INFRASTRUCTURE (“STACK” or the “Company”), the digital infrastructure partner to the world’s most innovative companies, today announced a partnership with First Gulf, a proven market leader in Canadian development and construction, to develop a 56 MW campus on a 19 acre site located at 3650 Danforth Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. STACK’s first international expansion is located minutes from Toronto’s downtown core and will include immediate capacity ready in mid-2022 as well as future expansion.

And that any questions should be directed to: 'For more information on the development of this project of First Gulf’s services, please contact Executive Vice President Brian Harrison at bharrison@firstgulf.com or 416-773-7095.'

Having some experience in data centre development and construction, I sent the following letter to Mr. Harrison (Needless to say, I never received a response):

Nothing wrong with maintaining employment uses in the inner suburbs, especially if they aren't particularly noxious or traffic-generating. Putting a data centre here is also a wiser use of land than putting one closer to downtown in an area that should be getting midrises or towers instead.

Completely agree.
