Comments comparing Toronto to Chicago have been moved to a new thread:

thanks for taking the time/initiative to do so! it was getting out of hand with the past 3 pages dedicated to that stuff (i feel equally to blame )

WopChop, can you give us an idea at what is exactly happening at this point in time at the top of the tower? we've seen concrete machines pouring at the top for the past few days, and i'm looking forward to some fresh new columns. for some reason, without the weatherwall, this thing could very well pass as a topped off skyscraper with the elevator core of level 56 standing in for a mechanical box :p lol (especially in Caltrane's pic)

L56 was delayed because of the crane being broken for a week, and then required maintenance on the concrete pump yesterday. They were setting steel today, and there is a big pour (18 hours) scheduled for tomorrow night. L56 is major transfer slab, so it takes a lot of work to form and pour in the first place, even without all the other issues.

I was walking along Adelaide with a buddy after work yesterday at around 1 pm and I saw some nerdy looking dude whizzing around the corner in a VW Beetle with "Pump-Crete" stickers plastered all over the car. Perhaps that was one of the maintenance guys? Lol.

So now the 'scraper watchers get to shift their collective attentions to Ice and One Bloor. Well, after the spire is put on the Trump, that is.

Busy city, this Toronto.

Yeah... Ice, L-Tower,and Aura. I doubt One Bloor when a shovel has yet to hit the ground..anyways it will be 2 years before One Bloor starts looking like anything, which by that time the other 3 will be toping off.

A few shots from yesterday afternoon..
