Toronto Richmond Adelaide Centre: EY Tower | 188.05m | 40s | Oxford Properties | Kohn Pedersen Fox

I wish it were taller. It is not bland by toronto standards though. I am hoping it still ends up looking like a crystal. Of everything that is in a near completion phase I would say this and 1bloor are my personal favourites.

The most articulated part of the building is at the top, so I'll hold of judgement until then. The lower portion isn't too crazy.

Lots of detail has been restored on the heritage building. Regrettably, I didn't bring a better camera with me today.

Kudos! Kudos! Kudos! That is simply magnificent! Love the restored intricate details and vibrant colors! I will be in Toronto later this month so will try to visit the site just to see the exquisite details!

By the photo I was hoping that this building was going to more like a crystal with a shimmering silver coloured glass but instead it's just the same old blue glass. I had high hopes for this project but it is a complete disappointment as it's just another bland glass box.

agree totally! I was wishing they might use a reflective silver glass also. the north face of this thing is essentially another Bay Adelaide Ctr box-o-rama. unfortunate that these third rate designs are watering down the financial core's former glory (and wasting the potential for future greatness).

As decent as these 2 towers may be, they add zip to the cityscape as seen from the city hall square. It's a wasted opportunity to showcase something memorable on an important site . Sure the developer pays the bills and all, but the city Design reviewers could try raise the bar a little higher.

I actually think we're pretty lucky with how EY turned out, at least when you consider the size of the site and what the original proposal/vision looked like. INDX on the other hand does play it very safe.

Took a muddy stroll through Moss Park this morning
