Toronto Ontario Line: King-Bathurst Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

540 King West

580 King West

582 King St W

There are other rumored sites as well, but nothing confirmed...yet.

Thank you. These would lead to the demise of Early mercy, Jacob's steakhouse, Century club and Toybox. This strip is really going to be gutted and will lead to even more overcrowding on the streets due to lack of options and small venues.

Pretty sure Jacob’s is already confirmed to be moving to CIBC Square.

So at least we aren’t fully losing that**

While the Allied site at 540 King Street West would lead to the demise of Early Mercy and Jacob's Steakhouse, I believe the Century Club and the Toybox would not be involved - at least in this project - although their days in fact may be numbered. The Century Club is located in 580 King Street West project (https://urbantoronto.ca/database/projects/580-king-west), while the Toybox is located in the King Adelaide Centre project (https://urbantoronto.ca/database/projects/king-adelaide-centre).

Correct, with a business license to prove it!

Metrolinx has acquired now the two Bathurst and King Street north side properties (662 and 668 King Street West for the Ontario Line construction and future station. From Page 67 of Allied's 2022 Second Quarter report:

"On June 30, 2022, Allied closed on the disposition of two investment properties held for sale, which were 662 King Street West and 668 King Street West, both in Toronto."

580 King st west and 582 seem to be stuck in bureaucratic hell especially 580, no updates since Oct 2020.

EFS liquor license suspended today due to the shooting indefinitely. Well, they were closing soon due to the station work anyways.

This is an earlier than planned closure. Oh well, not going to be missed at all.

Regulars and The Bank Note announced their closure due to the subway line work, so EFS wouldn’t have been operating for very long even without the shooting, but they really deserve to have their license revoked.

I knew about Regulars but didn't know Bank Note announced..when are they closing?

I would assume Love Child would be in the same situation. Non-commercial buildings near the path of the subway line have been contacted recently by Metrolinx of the planned work and disruptions and request to access their properties.
In the case of Regulars and Bank Note, they regularly operate as a restaurant/bar during the day so their closures would be the most noticeable. Love Child would simply disappear quietly.
