There doesn't appear to be too much activity today but here is a photo taken moments ago. Wonder if this is as deep as they will go?

These tie-backs are generally 5 metres apart but only 3 metres between the 3rd and 4th row. The floor grade is down another 4.5m from the current grade---6 levels of underground including retail. When these tie-backs are stressed, the ramp is scheduled to be flipped to the southwest corner in order to drill the 3rd and 4th level of tie-backs under the current ramp.

Anyone care to speculate why they are now filling the pit with dirt? Shouldn't they be filling it with cement and rebar?
 
That's exactly why. Looks like they've done the last of the tiebacks that they have access to, now they need to move the ramp to the other side so that they can get access to the tieback points that were buried by the access ramp. Once they get those final tiebacks in they should be able to excavate to final depth and start pouring concrete
