There self dimantleing crane tower seems to have taken a pause in its descent. It's been stalled at this height since Friday of last week.

It was noted here that the crane would come down to the 17 floor, then the remainder would be handled by a mobile crane.

Sorry to go off topic (from the crane's dismantling) but does anyone know if the Lobby/Elevator area on the ground floor are the finished look? I know to each their own, but I'm having a hard time believing that's the actual design they intended.

Update May 17, 2016
The vehicular Road Closure continues Wednesday, May 18 2016 for the eastbound lane on The Esplanade from Yonge Street to Scott Street. A possible extension to Thursday May 19 may occur if required. We will have an update tomorrow on the 18th.
Work is progressing on taking down the L Tower crane with the job and cab components coming down this afternoon.
As work continues tomorrow, May 18:

- There may be short term disruptions to pedestrian flow as active crane work occurs.

started the morning off with this super mobile crane
removing the counterweights onto a truck
removing the boom/jib in one go
next the cab
notice the boom is dismantled and gone by late afternoon
collar is off too, now we are left with this by the end of the day
