As demonstrated by the before and after renders posted by Four seasons, they never really lost ALL of the fins at all. The newer renders show they lowered the top of the parapet only a few feet then simply joined all the fins together with glass cladding, thereby enclosing the top. Now, if they added a higher level of glass only on portions of the facade it would indeed be fins again, but it would increase the height from either version of the render.

Unfortunately, they seem to have forgone their signage as well.

Actually, upon closer inspection of the above two renders, it is clear the render artist just fudged the first render and some perspectives and layers do not match up properly. They have removed the top two balconies, yet kept most of the height. Also the top corners do not match up with proper perspective with the walls below So, in conclusion... It's anybody's guess what's coming for a topper!

So much talk about the fins, its not going to make or break this project.
Whatever it is they do, its not going to involve leaving exposed concrete.

I remember wandering into the sales center a few years back for this place (well dressed and in my mid-thirties) but I will always remember the woman who literally jumped in front of me and said, "Sir, may I help you?!" To which I replied "Just wanted to poke around." She explained this was a private, invitation only showroom and I was promptly show out the door. Well they won't get my $28 million! :D
