Toronto City Hall lighting

Does anyone know why the lights that light up the city hall's exterior have been off for 5 months? It's a shame to see a city land mark not lit up at night !

Pure guess on my part - it might have something to do with the fact that they're putting a green roof at the podium level.

I too think that is the reason. The lights should be on again some time in the next 15 years or so.

City Hall Lights

This is likely not the cause of lights being out but I found this recent article in the Phoenix paper regarding Nuit Blanche display for city hall.
