My confidence in the safety of the Gardiner has not been enhanced by some of your photos, particularly this one.
I think I'll stick to ground-level transportation as a precaution.

This is one of the reasons that I think it's fiscally insane to keep propping the thing up. It costs so much money to fix this thing... the cycle of seasons takes its toll.This is but one example of how degraded it is in various spots . Here's another - a small detail, a study in corrosion and neglect.

The gloriously chaotic interior of the mothballed Hearn Generating Station, draped in its Luminato 2016 finery. This cavernous, grimy, eviscerated, utterly toxic building is the sublime industrial equivalent to the great gothic cathedrals of Europe. The sheer scale of this gargantuan structure is somewhat unnerving. Kudos to Luminato's organizers for the nuanced lighting which showed off this epic ruin to haunting effect.

This is possibly my favourite interior space in the city. I've never once been in or through it without appreciating everything I see. It's beautiful no matter the time of day or year.
